 Welcome to Planet Hunter Blog 

   Hi there, my name is Maia, and I am the creator of the Planet Hunter Blog. I am a Physics with Astrophysics student at university and I love to write about two of my main passions in life, science, and travel. 

    The main purpose of this blog is to provide a place to publish collections of my writing. I hope that through this blog my writing can inspire others to develop a sense of curiosity about the world we live in. Travel and science can offer everybody a view to beginning to understand the complex world which we live in and bring a sense of wonder and adventure to our everyday lives.

 When I first started my blog, I knew I wanted to attempt to communicate the science which interests me in a way that is accessible to anybody, because science is not just for scientists! I have always been drawn to the mystery of Physics, and my studies in the subject have shown me that through science we can truly admire the magic which is very much present in our universe. If you are reading this blog and have ever been intimidated by Physics, I hope that my blog offers a glimpse into the science of the universe unobscured by numbers and equations. 

Over the course of creating my blog, I discovered that I didn't want to limit Planet Hunter Blog just to Physics content because that isn't the only thing I love to write about. People who know me well know that I have loved creating scrapbooks of my holidays since I could write a sentence. My hope is to inspire people to travel more since traveling has given me some amazing memories and enabled me to have heaps of fun with some of my favorite people in my life.
