4- THE EDIT

An insta worthy edit of my image of the moon. |
Following my last post, I wanted to put something on here about photo editing. I think that photo editing is a super easy and free way to make your photos look pro. There are so many photo editors out there that you can access on your phone that I find myself editing photos whilst eating my Breakfast or in a spare minute I might have during the day. I store and edit all my photos on Google Photos because I find it simple to use. It also has many added benefits such as being able to access all my photos anywhere on any device and knowing all your images are safely backed up.
I used to always have a problem with my photos taking up tonnes of my phone storage, but since downloading Google Photos that problem is a thing of the past. Before uploading the shots I took of the moon to the last post, I used Google Photos to add some finishing touches. Although there is an auto-editing option, I found playing around with the light, colour and pop of the image gave much better results. I found that increasing the brightness a little worked well, but too much meant the moon soon looked like a smudgy white disk. However, increasing the pop and colour of the image made for a massive improvement in the quality of the image.
My Moon Pictures Album on Google Photos
Shortly after I created another version of the image for Pinterest. You could say I was inspired by the title of the last post when I decided to turn the moon pink. To do so I ventured onto the app Pixlr, which allows you to edit images and create insta-worthy collages. On the app there is a whole collection of effects to try out, I used the effect 'Ivan' but there were so many pretty ones I could have chosen instead. The app also has a long list of text fonts you can download, I chose a modern slim lettering under the Sans option on the app to give it a cute title. If you want to give some photo editing a go feel I have put the links at the bottom of this post to Pixlr and Google Photos. Happy editing!
